Davao City Escapade :)

We had very amazing experience this vacation to Philippines ( January 2012 ) with my husband when we take a joy ride with just a motorbike from Dipolog - molave - cotabato - Digos - Davao - Valencia - Malaybalay - Cagayan De Oro - Iligan - Ozamis - Oroquieta and back to my hometown Dipolog :)

A very breath taking fear when we cross the Muslim area ( they said a bit dangerous there for us ) when it was raining and the roads are like a river and strong currents of water.... We stopped over Cotabato City ( 7 hours trip by motorbike) for one night and stay at Diamond Hotel to cover up from the battered butt and tiring day we had been through :)

The picture from the right side was our stuff and our bike :) Was nice is we can stop anywhere we want just to take a break watching the nice views of the mountains and rivers and falls... It takes about at least 8 hours the next day travel from Cotabato City to Davao City since they had not so nice road and heavy traffic... But when we arrive in Davao, will be paid off with the nice Hotel we stayed in Catitipan, Chateau Del Mar fronting the beach and nice and clean swimming pool.. they had nice stuff also that pampered us with a nice breakfast the next morning... :) checked in there for 3 nights...
Our next destination was Samal Island in Davao... was easy to get there since they had hourly barge leaving from Davao City to Samal Island ( Cost 60 pesos with motorbike plus two passenger ). There we stayed at Bluejaz Beach resort and Watersports.. Not so happy with their attendants but so far the place was nice, the beach was nice, i enjoyed the jet ski though little bit unsatisfied coz not working well, and i enjoy the gigantic slides...

The next day we went to the bat cave ( cost 100php entrance fee per head) which is one of the Guiness Book of Record, you will really be amazed of the millions of Bats inside the cave, they are a fruit eater and they had big contribution of the pollination process of the farmers in Davao.
After that we went to the other side of the island called talikud island, there you can find the coral Garden of Davao ( From Kaputian we rent a pump boat for 1600php half day tour around talikud island includes time for snorkling ). Nice clear water and corals.. It might not be as what really expect but so far so good, it was impressive...

We stayed there for 5 nights.... it was very nice island.. One thing i don´t like is the people who try to make some money in a very unreasonable way... They always make special price for us...
